Views from this weekend’s Boy Scout Family Campout

The boys in the troop were practicing orienteering skills to predict the width of a “river” and the height of a tree using only a compass and their pace size. We were up at Frenchman’s Lake in California. Great venue and great weather!

In the afternoon, the boys were just hanging around the campsite for a while. Then they took off on a hike. This ground squirrel (not a chipmunk) was begging for lunch leftovers.
