Teaching Then and Now

A math blog that I am subscribed to posted this cartoon this week and like him, I found it to be a sad commentary on the state of public education in this country.

Teaching then and Now

It’s from http://www.caglecartoons.com

For those of you who might be interested in the math blog I read, it’s called The Math Mojo Chronicles. Brian’s goal with his website is “helping public school, homeschooling, unschooling students, parents, teachers, and adults learn math with easy and effective methods.” I enjoy reading his posts and website and the puzzles he often puts there. He truly enjoys math for the fun of it and loves to promote problem solving and critical thinking skills through math. Check it out!
